I just checked Inside Triathlon and our own Trek-VW Brian Smith was 3rd at Xterra world championships in Maui, Hawaii! His best result of the year, 1st American, and he was within sight of 2nd place !!!

He did it on a Top Fuel, and had the fastest bike split by 2.5 minutes. Good suspension paid off in this case. Brian said he was just floating through the rough lava rock, passing people left and right.
Jenny had her best swim of the season, and then rode into 6th place, before flatting fully 4 times in the rough lava. She managed to finish the race, but was obviously disappointed because her form was there.
